my heidi was like that about 6 months ago i've go to say....metacalm and glucosamine / chrondotrin mix for dogs helped a lot though, but they are expensive

well.... I suppose it started about a week ago and ended today... I broke up girlfriend of about 4 months from gaia online. she was my first serious relationship.... she lives in new york, and as soon as I found out I was going to college on the pacific coast, I decieded it was for the best. at first she seemed OK with it, but relations have dissolved. I was rehabilitating her froma very sorry state, and all my work on bringing her out of the pain that is her life has been destroyed. she almost killed herself yesterday and she hates me now. I feel like i;d be better if I never came along into her life.... but then again, I have a new girlfriend in the form of one of my first and dearest friends there. i've loved her for over 6 months, ever before I met my old GF, and it feels right. she was also quite depressed before I came, but fortunately I managed to bring her out of her state long ago. I took me along time, but i;ve finally realized shes the right one for me and was all along. I was just too blind to see it.

Just a note to people everywhere: Don't get drunk in Vegas and try to have a heart to heart with the girl you like. Especially when you're from Cali. It makes things v. awkward the entire evening. OH! and DEFINITELY make sure that if you do, she is NOT sober. **** YOU GREYGOOSE!!!

My hearts only been hurt (I wouldn't call it broken) twice. Once out of a 2yr relationship and once with a girl that I fell for way too quickly.

Thank god thats over. I'm really happy now though.

I guess maybe I am cold, I don't know if I have ever had my heart broken. Things have made me sad, and some to this day still have the ability to bring me down a little, but nothing, has ever really tugged my heart strings so much that I felt completely devastated, I think, that I am afraid, to feel, to let people in, I love my kids dearly, and tend to think, that they would be the only thing, that would drop me to my knees, if something ever happened to them. otherwise, "I will survive":SaiyanSmilie_anim: I also think, that someday, I will meet some one, who makes my moments complete, and if I don't, I guess I will never know what I am missing. :confused:

Wow Judge, never thought I'd find someone that thinks like I do.

Not to belittle anyone, we all have different levels of emotion, but I find it almost laughable at what some people call heartbroken. I think its an overused word just as the word love is.

I can understand a death of a loved one. But not pets, though I almost cried when I had to put my dog down, or breaking up with someone etc.

My wife thinks I'm cold, except for family. But even then I had no feelings about my grandparents dying, one of them even committed suicide.

About the only thing I could see make me breakdown and lose it would be something happening to my wife and/or kids.

Now I'm basing this on a real heartbreak as in can't/won't go on. Want to end life situation.
Not heartbroken, I feel lousy but yeah I'll join you guys for a few beers and be around people. Which is what I believe the OP meant.

Ice, lol, Your right, our thinking is very similar, I agree, Although i did cry when my dog died, but was "over" it much faster, than most people, not that it didn't hurt, or still doesn't, just that, its not something that I feel broke my heart. Ice put it correctly when he stated that its a way overused/desensitized term, as is love.
