Hello there,

I haven't been here for a while, about a year I think. Can someone please help me, anyone know what's the minimum output rate for a powerhead to kick water about a meter high? My last check was that a powerhead with output rate of 2200 liters per hour can do an estimated max height of 1.5 meters, i need something that can do 1 meter and hopefully on the "minimum" side.

I know that I can just check on the specs on the store but most of the products sold in our area are chinese/asian and they dont usually display the height output. Thanks. Sorrry If you can't understand what I'm saying.:duh:

It all depends on which brand pump you get. For example, the Fishmate 3000 can do 2000 liters at a height of 1 meter and 1200 liters at 1.5meters:

I would therefore go with the Fishmate 4000 which can do 2700 liters/hr at 1m and 1700 liters at 1.5 m:

But once again, every brand has different numbers.

Follow-up question, does anyone know how much (liters/hour) can a powerhead w/ a 1600 liters per hour rate kick at a height of 1.2 meters?

Here's a picture of the mini-pond by the way.

I would estimate around 400 liters/hr at 1.2 meters.
