View Full Version : Changes to TOTM / POTM Format

From next month onwards (october voting), the competition will be split between freshwater and saltwater. This will be done as a trial and will wholey depend on the ammount of submissions recieved for each competition.
If, for example, i only recieve 4 or 5 saltwater photo's, then, this does not make the split plausable, and will be assesed at that point.
The Aquaria Central members have asked for this to be done, so, i am looking forward to people's continued support to make this split work..
Thanks for all your support so far in the competitions..Keep all the great photo submissions coming..

I think this would be a good thing IMO, i hope enough people post in both FW and SW to have 2 catigories........:)

For the present time, it is one entry per member. This shall be reviewed when the format changes to the new comps, and if its deamed that one for each is going to make it better, then a rule change shall be announced.
I think I missed something in there....I is a bit slow :p:

As stated in the rules and guidlines, it has to be something that you own. If you simply catch a fish or invert, snap a shot, and put it back, then you dont own it.

Well....its neither one nor the other, so, a decision has to be made by the owner as to which to submit this type of shot to...

If I could get anything but my clown fish to come out of hiding all at one time for a shot I'd try for the tank of the month.. But all you'd see if I go now is two orange specs against a sea of rock.. :) But hey I have given you two POTM in the last two months.. I think I'm doing good.. LOL

I have a question.
What if what you said comes true. What if there is 5 saltwater entries. And lets just for the sake of the argument I won. Would I get the year subscription for the magazines, as well as the freshwater winner too?

We do not offer a prize for these competitions...People contribute to the comp for pride, and to be in the spot light for the month...
