do you keep them in saltwater? I have never heard of people keepong them in tanks, but I catch them all the time for fluke bait

i have kept them in my community tank frehswater... i catched about 10 of them and realsed ten but then only survived untill one jumped out the tank so now i have 2 in my 10 gallon with guppies mollies and swordtails they do very well if u add aquarium salt for freshwater

If you had 50 in a 20 gallon I'd be willing to bet the largest fish ate killed the inferior fish. This is pretty common (I've kept them until recently).

I kept my fish @ an SG of 1.012 and they seemed pretty happy. A very aggressive fish (I will not keep them again with tankmates).
