I'd glue or epoxy my rock in place if I were you. It adds stability and will help you have some peace of mind. You be amazed at how much moving power even small critters like snails have! Oh, and they only move rocks onto your most expenisve critter it's in their contracts ;O)

I'd open up the rockwork more and leave more space between the tank walls and the rock work. The way you have it now is very limiting in regards to flow... You'll be getting a lot of detritus build up in your rockwork.

I've been considering glue or epoxy, but if I need to remove a piece or want to rearrange the tank, will you be able to get the rock back apart?

I agree with Dorkfish. also with more open spaces it will look nicer.

Yes, if you glue part and use plastic straps to hold the rest in place. Don't worry too much about unsightly plastic as your coraline will cover them over in no time flat. Oh, your rock is resting on glass not sand right?

no it is on top on the sand, about an inch... Should I rest it on the plexi

It is going to be hard because so many of the shapes you have are the same and round. If it were me I'd probably break a few of the pieces and use a pvc frame or acrylic rode and build interesting opening pillars, etc. Stacking is going to be difficult otherwise with the shapes you have if you're wanting open spaces.

Yes, or burrowers will dig out the sand and make things less stable.

use your imagination, and open it up more. Im sure you dont need any pvc, or any of that ****.

I think you are off to a great start. I would first take some water out of the tank, try to leave about an inch or inch and 1/2 for volume exchange when you are in there - or you are going to spill over. IMO I would follow Grins suggestion and break a few of them to change the shapes you have to work with. You can stick with the wall approach you have or even pull out a pier in the middle, you are going to want to have a least one area of low-med flow so that you are not restricted by flow on what you can have in the tank. I really like the look of the clean lines to your acrylic tank...you have a couple of weeks to play with the aquascaping while it cures. Good luck, if you change nothing - it still looks very nice.
