I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I happened upon this website while I was looking for answers to one of my many questions about my aquarium. Well, I love you all because I didn't even have to post a question to get an answer. I just read through the forum and and answers to all my questions were around every corner. I just want to thank you all. I have been enlightened. Thank you so very much. :bowing:
Thanks! Welcome to AC! :)

Thank you for the warm welcome. As for my tank, I have a 29 gallon tank with:
2 Yellow Labidochromis caeruleus
1 Blue Labidochromis caeruleus
1 Moonlight Gourami
1 Common Pleco
1 Starfire Red Glofish
4 Albino African Clawed Frogs
7 Aponogeton
2 Java Ferns
2 Micro Swords
2 Bamboo Shoots
with a mixture gravel.
I mixed porous clay substrate, with regular small gravel, and sand. I had the different substrates set in their own areas of the tank, but the cichlids have mixed it all together. They suck it up and then spit it out. It scared the living day lights out of me when I first heard the gravel thrown against the aquarium glass, but now I'm used to it. I also have 2 purchased caves and 2 caves that I made myself form some terracotta pots. I use to have ghost shrimp, and triops in there, but they have been eaten. I also use to have 4 fancy tail guppies and a male betta, but the cichlids liked nipping at them until they died of the stress. They pretty much ate half of the betta and a guppy. I guess they were to big to be eaten whole. My cichlids are very agressive. They always try and nip at the gourami's dorsal fins, and they are always fighting with the pleco.

Just remembered. I also use to have 5 ottos, but my frogs had a feeding frenzy with them.
