gonna get a 15-18 gallon fish tank.havnt decided yet.

-live rock
-protein skimmer
-mechanical filter

just thought i should check out your opinions.

fish:
common clownfish x2
cleaner shrimp x 1

i will be doing a fowlr first since i dont think i am ready for corals.

they are beautiful though so i just wanna know whether corals like zoanthids are good for newbies. like whats the best and easiest corals to take care of. because ive heard that when corals have a slight ph change etc, they will die contaminating the water and other fishes stress/death.

thanksxxxxxxx

The more common zoanthids and palyzoanthids tend to make good beginner corals. They generally don't require the strongest of lighting and self-propogate fairly easily. Many of them do indeed contain palytoxin, which can be harmful to other corals in the tank and even humans, however this tends to only be an issue when corals are placed in close proximity to one another and/or if you are sensitive to the palytoxin.

Mushrooms are also a good group of beginner corals. They do not require the strongest of lighting either.

It ususally takes more than just a swing in pH to have disasterous effects on corals.

BTW, you have a PM, too.

You can greatly increase stability if you add an auto top off system to combat evaporation.
