I'm going to my LFS today to get some LR rubble for my filter, and I want to get some additions. I think some snails, and I would like to get a hermit crab and and shrimp or two. Is my tank not established yet for these? It has finished cycling for two weeks, and has had some fish in it for 5 days. Here are the numbers:
PH 8.4
SG 1.022
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 5-10 (I can't tell)
If there is not enough "stuff" on the rocks and on the bottom (besides the diatoms-ugh) for them to eat, can I supplement it with something? Or should I wait?
I have 5 Chromis and a Lawnmower Blenny, btw.
Thanks!!!!

No I think your fine.. I just wouldn't buy one of the "packages".. Start out small and add what you need when you need it. You will pay more overall but you can fine tune your tank to its needs. I always recommend Cerith Snails, and Astrea snails. Astreas specifically eat diatoms amoung other things. As far as crabs go I'd get a sifter like a dwarf blue leg or a dwarf red tip. These you can always suppliment their diet with seaweed if necessary.

Sweet! Off to the LFS!
I haven't seen any clean up crew packages at my LFS...I figured I would just add slowly like you and Grins suggested.
Thanks for the quick reply!!
