I just did a WC, and have been looking at the baby s nail I just found today, when I noticed that my plants seem to be producing tons of tiny little buble streams.

my red water temple has one spot, that keeps producing a bigger bubble every couple of seconds (still smaller than a carbonated drink bubble) and has another leaf producing tiny tiny little bubbles in a steady stream.

my sword plant is the most extreme with literally a string of tiny tiny tiny little bubbles, smaller than is found in beer.
it has two leaves doing this..

what are they doing?

That is O2 be released by the plants as a byproduct of photosynthesis. The tiny stream is coming from a nick in the plant or from where it was trimmed. The bubbles all over the leaves is called pearling and is a sign that your plants are growing very well.

I dont think my plants are growing well :( any pearling would only be from the water change I just did.... but the stream of bubbles is def. coming from the plant.

?? im not using RO water right now.

they just dont look very healthy. my sword plant has leaves growing in red, in a way that looks like they are rotting, not colouring, also it has brown spots all over it now.
they just dont look like healthy plants.

Well I was reading your specs on your tank and it does say RO. Can you post pics of your plants. There are red swords! You also need to give more info. Water specs etc.
