I'm looking for a reactor to get rid of phosphates but currently something that I can also use Cuprisorb in to get rid of whatever copper I have gotten in there from my tap water (switching to Culligan water). I was thinking about getting the AquaC XP Plus Reactor but I have read some reviews about the lid not being very secure. One guy said he would not trust it outside his sump and another said that he starteded it and came back two minates later to a flood on the carpet. I have no sump so I would like a very good quality reactor that will not leak. Any suggestions on which ones are good?

I have the AquaC XP Plus and it is outside my sump. I haven't had any problems (knock on wood) with it. You have to make sure the "O-Ring" is in position, but it snaps closed for a tight seal. I don't take the lid on and off though, filled it once and let it go.
I have also heard that the Phosban reactors are good - that was going to be my original plan. But I run carbon and phosban so this gives me lots of room for both.

They both same to have some good reviews. I don't know if I wanna take a chance with it or not. Any other opinions?
