I hope someone has some knowledge in this area. I bought a kit from my LFS and it came with a light that I was not happy with, it was pretty bright and kinda drowned out the colors of the fish. They were very nice in letting me switch out the bulb and I got one of the blue spectrum bulbs, i think they are more for saltwater tanks but it is causing the colors of my fish to shine so nicely!! I rally want to start some aquatic plants and know i need a day spectrum bulb, is there any way to buy two smaller bulbs, one day spectrum and one of the blue spectrums. My hood takes the long flourescent bulbs(24in, i think.)
