Hi everyone i was wondering but maybe im not feeding them right or some thing i bought 2 pictus and one black tipped catfish (or colombian catfish) when they were only like 2 inches like about 3 months ago and they both have only grown like less than half of an inch even less. i dont know is this normal or should they grow faster. im feeding them bloodworms, masquito larvae, flakes, dried mysis shrimp. the tank is 55 gallons so is this normal for them to grow slowly?
thanks

i dont see a problem with what you are feeding them, in fact thats a lot more variety than a lot of fish get. IMOE pictus cats grow pretty slow, but then spurt. But just generally pretty slow. Umm the columbian sharks you should watch out for. As they get bigger you will transition them over to brackish and then to salt water conditions as adults. Ive seen a few people successfully keep them as adults in pure freshwater but the fish thrive and live happier lives in salt water conditions.
