Just found out my KH is around 6-7. I need to get this higher, how do I do that? Any additives? My PH is 7.8.

Could the loss of appetite of my yellow labs and the sudden death of one of them could be because of the low KH?

very unlikely to be related.

these fish unless wild caught are often not maintained in hard high Ph water.

my advise would be that stable parameters are more important than notional 'ideal' parameters and that adding to increase e.g. Kh is likely to be more stressful to you and the fish, as it is very difficult to keep it consistently at the artificial level.

however, as you ask, commercially available Cichlid salts will do this, as will sodium bicarbonate.

i've never done this myself though so can't advise on dosage.

another you can do is put a lot of e.g. tufa or limestone rock (tufa is better - lighter) and crushed coral substrate in your tank, together with some crushed coral in the filter. this is likely to prove more stable than adding the salts/soda.
