Hi all,:help:

I have been using the Eheim PRO III (model 2076) for more than 3 months (it worked great) and all of a sudden, my flow rate is down to 1 (on a scale of 6). Just wondering if anyone else is using this filter and what their output is like. I got rid of my UV, replaced all the hoses and I am now getting between 3 and 4 LEDs. According to that awful manual, I should be getting SIX LEDs when I am on the factory setting mode, but I am only getting 3 or 4!!!! What is up?????
NOT HAPPY!!:mad2::mad2::mad2: I paid big bucks for this filter and I am getting frustrated... Any feedback will help!
Thanks!

Sophie

Take out all the media baskets and filter media then take a big bowl of tank water (or sink water dechlorinated) and give everything a nice bath. Just dump the media in the bown and stir it up with your hands (no soap before media touch, just after). Then just put the media in the baskets again and start it up.

Hi,

Do you have the same filter? Do you think that would make a difference?
I will give it a try! Thanks,
Sophie

No but I do have a 2028 and a 2215. Try cleaning the impellor (sp?) too.

I have exactly the same problem except mine was down to 4 LED after only 2 weeks, I tried everything cleaning media, hoses, impeller, removing filter pads, nothing worked.
Next I got a replacement pump head, installed it and everything immediately started working normally with full auto flow control (6 LED’s).
However after a week with the new pump head the max flow rate is down 1 LED to max 5, I think there is a design problem with the Auto flow function I’m trying to contact Eheim direct to discus the problem, no results yet.
One thing you can try is to switch to manual flow control I’m sure like me you will be able to adjust the full range proving its not pollution in the filter or media
