What Kind Of Crab Is This?

his legspan was about 20", he was very mellow, and acted like he didn't care that he was being picked up lol

looks like a good old spider crab- catch them all the time. nasty to step on when youre clamming though(trust me I know)

I thought he was, but the only one I've seen around here was able to comfortably sit on the end of my thumb.

He looked a bit like a goblin with that giant nose-thing lol

his attitude suprised me, I'm used to blue crabs; hyper and very agressive.

I have no idea but awesome crab! I once found a gigantic coral crab while fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. I pinched his rear end to pick him up. Huge guy. And nasty. He put up a fight.

throw him in a pot, cook him, then eat him and figure out the name and stuff later.

no, I dont think you want to eat a spider crab. they have really tough shells and not too much meat. its also probably illegal

don't worry, i'm horribly against the way crabs are cooked, and for some reason I think he might taste a bit like mud...
