As some of you may know... I recently lost 3 peppermint shrimp in a freak, i don't know where they went, accident...

Well, its time to replace them and i was wondering if i should get a couple peppermint shrimp or a couple cleaner shrimp...

as of now i don't have a problem with aipatasia... knock on wood.

i do have a small issue with brook... im leaning towards cleaner shrimp as i think they aren't as shy...

is this true???

Yes, it's true. You'll see a lot more of them they don't hide as much and have a much better attitude imho.

Will they scavenge off the floor of the tank like peppermints do?? or will they only eat parasites...

Yes that will eat off the floor of the tank. They also like cleaning your hands while you are cleaning your tank. They are not shy. Every now and then I'll hand feed mine. Mine eats just about everything I feed from flakes, pellet, krill, silversides.

Skunk Cleaners are awesome. They'll clean your hands, even eat from them.

Well two are in the mail!!

Along with a new set of hemit shells... My blue legs are eating my scarlets and taking their shells...

Also got a BTA!!! Hope that works out!

I presume this is for the 30Gal tank? If that is so, then please concider sending the nem back. You tank was only setup last month and nems should only be introduced into a mature aquarium...

This is of course, juts my opinion...

Oh well... I think it will work out and i will do my best to ensure that...

What should they be fed... My clown is still in quarantine and even then, there is no quarantee that it will host the anem...

Spot feed it a small dead fish?

I'd send it back as well but if you are set on keeping it you'll want to give it meaty foods. You can start with silversides.

Well it shipped today and will arrive tomorrow... Ill probably end up keeping it...

Where could i get silversides at?

LFS carries them in the freezer generally. You can feed other meaty foods but they are usually an easy one to get them to eat. It is really a big risk trying to keep one in such a new tank. Most wait at least 6 months.
