Hello everyone! I was hoping some members have had expierence with the Red Sea Max 34G tank setup. I haven't done anything to it yet except assemble it. The starter kit that came w/ it comes with Aragonite-based substrate and says that it will eventually take on the characteristics of LS when it matures (the kit also contains NitroBac to help w/ this). Is this a good product? or should I skip this and stay with LS. Or since there isn't enough of the Aragonite substrate for the tank can I mix in LS??? Thanks for the help.

I'd use regular aragonite, you can buy more yes and then add live rock. I'd not add the NitroBac personally.

The sand thats provided should be sufficent if its aragonite sand, and just purchase additional aragonite non live sand to complete the sand bed...The bagged live sand is a waste of money. Your sand bed will get seeded from the live rock you get to put in there....

No need to be using chemicals in the tank, it will all occur naturaly, as mother nature does best...
