Anyone know if a powerhead 402 is submersible?

My powerhead is a 600 and it is submersable but I'm sure every model is different. Do you not have the instructions on there?? I'm sure that is an important detail that they will mention. Usually it is best to leave the top above water to avoid any complications. You could also try and locate a website for the company that makes your powerhead and call their 1-800 number. Good luck!

Powerheads are designed to be submersible. Not all pumps are, but these are not called powerheads.

Thanks for all the information! A guy at the store just gave it to me awhile ago for free, no instructions though.........
