I recently got a betta but hes not eating. all the other fish in the tank are eating well but the betta hasnt eaten a thing since i got him. i thought it was down to the type of food but he wont eat bloodworms either. is he sick or something?

Are the blood worms you fed him live? Some bettas have only been fed live food when you get them so you may want to try something like live black worms. You can also try to add a little bit of garlic to the water as it can act as an appetite stimulant.

no, theyre freeze dried. ill try that thanks......also could it be due to the fact that he was fin nipped by kribs?(which were immediately moved out of the tank)

im treating with melafix to help heal his fins but i dont know if it treats parasites. are there any other ways of detecting parasites? ill try the live food...will have to buy some first though

Mine simply loves frozen bloodworm's, maybe try that???
