Let me add to the post before that the gauramis came from wal-mart..
When I put them in my 50 gallon 6 months before I had the same trouble so treated with ich in transport and didn't loose a one.. Could it be the way they where handled??

Hello, My girlfriend and I are fair well with tanks as between us we have 7 tanks and the oldest is 11 years old..The biggest 150 and th smallest 10 gal..
We got a 39 gal and decided to make it basically a gaurami tank.. With a few neons and a rubber lip pleco.. We initially bought 15 neons and 3 kissing gaurami and 3 dwarfs.. The tank set up really nice.. no surprises.. Then the gauramis started dying after my girlfriend bought a new kissing gaurami that we noticed had a brown spot on it..
All the gauramis died, I tried tetracycline, to no avail..Nothing else died.. It has been a few weeks since the treatment and the tanks test within perameters so we decided that we would try the dwarfs again. We bought 10 and
treated them before we put them in the tank with a half dose of ick med for a day and then put them in the tank...
We lost three since sat and now I notice on a kissing G, It has a huge bulge on the side of it that is apparently from the the inside as what I would compare to a huge headless boil..What's going on?? Thanks for your help

it's sounds like your adding way to many at once, i woul think this ups the chances of stressiing your fish out and easily spreading this thing aroun

Could be the stress of the move. I've had problems keeping female dwarf gouramis, having lost 2. The male seems to constantly harrass them and kill them off!

Perhaps testing your water might give some clues? Could be the wrong PH levels for them perhaps.

they came from wall mart is the answer.
most illnesses dont last more than a few days with out a host in your tank.
