How do you dose epsom salt in a planted aquarium? How much and how often? Everywhere I look just says "use epsom salts" but never says how much. I looked for a magnesium test kit but didn't see any.

In my low light tank, if I'm using Excel, Flourish, and dosing phosphates, nitrates, potassium, and iron... are my plants going to suffer without magnesium?

In a 29 gallon tank I would dose about 3/4 of a tsp. That should give you about 3 ppm of Mg.

Thats a weeks worth of dosing. I only dose macros once a week. If you want to dose every other day then just divide by 3 and dose 1/4 of a tsp every other day.

This is a great fert calculator to use to figure out your weekly dosing. Like I said if you want to break it down just divide the numbers by 3.

Little warning, I don't know if its been fixed but there was a bug in the Fleet for phosphates dosing.

I don't dissolve any of my ferts, just drop them in one at a time. They all dissolve pretty quickly.
