I thought they stopped making these a few years ago? I saw them both in the lfs today, and bought a can of the anti-bacterial flakes.

What's the active ingredient?
I'd be interested in the anti-parasite ones.

Tetra Medica
The one for parasites had metronidazole, if I remember correctly. I have found very few fish who would eat these flakes.
I also thought tetra had discontinued this product.
The one for bacterial infections had tetracycline.

I just bought some tetra parasite flakes. The active ingredients are sulfadimethoxin, trimethoprim and metronidazole. I really liked them, way easier them making your ownfrom some of the other meds availiable. Also all my fish ate them which wasn't the case with the home made medicated flakes.

I'm glad your fishes find the medicated flakes to their liking. Perhaps I will try to find a source and get a jar of that stuff. I recall trying to feed the medica flakes to a sick synodontis years ago and he would not eat them.

Maybe your syno just didn't want to eat at all, wasn't that he jsut didn't want the medicated flakes. Once they have past a certain point in being sick its harder to get them to eat the medicated foods. If this happens try on of the other meds(i used metronidazole by seachem) and use that with frozen foods. Sometimes using frozen will make the fish eat it more easily.
