I need to seal the inside trim of my tank because there is a small condensation leak. I will only be needing to seal less than an inch. How should go about sealing the inside of the tank with fish in it? The waterlevel is atleast 4 inches away from the place that needs to be sealed.

You need to remove all fish, gravel, decor, water, everything from the tank. Then dry the tank using a cotton towel or something. Then you can reseal the leak, let it sit 24-48 hours for the sealant to set, then refill the tank to see if the leak has been fixed, if so set the tank back up.

Even though the water line is 4" away from where it needs sealed, the airborn toxins from the sealant can still get into the water from water movement (i.e. filters, airstones, etc...) and could potentially harm your fish.
