very lazy he will allow other tankmates if the tank was big enough. My co worker houses a 37" aba aba that thing is cool  I'm not a suporter of keeping a fish like these in aquaria but someone did so its only right to try to make him happy in his cramped housings:(

what a nice fish sha-wingg(waynes world) yeah that should be in a huge aquarium 5-10 times bigger then the 1 its in for it to be happy.
that fish is an exeption the the 1 gallon per inch of fish who ever made that rule is stupid and 9 times out of ten is wrong
you said his lazy did you ever thing he might be sad or depressed thats like haveing an oscar in a 10 gallon

We know he needs a bigger home but he has been around work for a year or two we are stacked to the gills tanks and have no room to build anything.i'll talk to the boss tonight have a plan:D
He is well fed BTW no children just fish he wont even bother eating anything under 3" but will readily accept non live fish (frozen/non sick dead fish) right out of your hand.
He kicks water out of his tank till you pet him like 5 gallons.
He is for sale if you got a indoor pond nicest one I've ever seen.

I second that notion, you can tell how big the tank is by the thickness of the glass, that's a big red tail catfish...however you should see the ones at the vancouver aquarium. They must weigh around 350 pounds. They're about 5 feet in length.

 Not sure:confused:
I know the price is fair even without his personality.
BTW
I laid out plans for a 96"x31"x32" iron framed glassboard tank might take him home myself.
Uncle runs a welding shop.
Have two sheets of glass from a 80L.
And two sheets of the 3/4 glass board

I believe it was killed by a black shark @ 2 ft. Same shark killed another 5 ft. fish (not an RTC) in the same tank.
Tank is very large, it's not mine, but a friend of mine from my aquarium club who I do work for. Let's just say the size of the tank is "XXXL" ;)

thats odd most big black sharks I've seen are a bit timid as adults and frisky as teenagers we had one come in last month that was a solid foot long and was cohabitating with guppy fry and other comunity fish.
