I got a piece in my tank now cuz I liked the holes and my fish seem to like it.
Safe/Good for plants?

I think it's a soft wood, and will break down pretty quickly. I'd pull it out when it starts rotting, otherwise you could get an ammonia spike.

Nevermind.. I think i'm just gonna take it out and not chance it
Unless someone could chime right in here and say that it's safe...
It's too bad, I really liked it.. not a fan of bulky driftwood at all.. was looking for something more like a cave.

It should be fine for awhile. Once it gets soft to touch, you poke it and you can squish it a bit, then it's time to take it out.
Granted I'm no driftwood expert. But that's what I would do.

I would not use it in your aquarium. It will break down too quickly and you will have a mess on your hands. I think you made the right decision and not chance it.
