...and after a few moments, I couldn't believe how much life I could see.

Pods everywhere. The fuge is absolutely crawling with them, but the display tank has it's spots, too. I have one place where a rock comes up to the very front of the tank, so close I can't clean between the rock and the glass.

There are so many pods in that little area, it's almost sick to look at. And the rest of the life there, too. There's arms sticking out of rocks, about 16 kinds of algae, the little spiral tell-tale leavings of other life...

Just amazes me, really.

And makes me happy, since I have that little scooter who eats pods...I don't think his food source is running out anytime in the near future. ;)

it amazes me sometimes too.. my husband and I have lost count of how many hours one of us just sits looking at the rock invariably we find something new or a new tube worm appear, pods everywhere etc.. it's just amazing the amount of life in one piece of rock... I have no idea what half the animals and things are must be hundreds of things... my husband noticed the other day a little tadpole like thing swimming around in just one area.. then on closer inspection there were loads, no idea what they are? LOL Happy Gazing!

I am constantly amazed and sometimes grossed out by the amount of life I have. I love my little micro sea stars. I have over 100 of them in my small 10G. I think everyone should have them :P The pod disgust me though xD Some of them get fat! The worms also creep me out because my tank is right by my bed.

yea i get home and pop a beer, start pluming, and i can spend hours with my face up against the glass.

i have this colony of zooanthids that is covering all but the edge and opening of an oyster/clam dude.

last night im lookin at it, close, and i see along the rim what looks to be things crawling. tiny lil things.

so my minds starts freakin out with all the things that it could be. then i notice that these things are going along the edge of the clam, lets say lips.

these things are moving across the lips to a centerpoint, and then being released into the water colomn.

then i realize that they keep coming at an evenly spaced rate and intervals.
so i try to look real hard at these things when i realize, they are not crawling on the lips serface, rather being pushed along the edge under a thin clear membrane.

my oyster was pooping.
but it was exciting. let me assure you.

Thats the thread I had created a long time ago. For some reason this is my fastest growing zoa rock. I get about 7+ zoas each month. I will have to frag soon. My clam is still alive too.

different type of zoo, they're the first pic if you click the link in my sig

Yeah, I know what you guys mean. I just love to sit back in my chair at night with nothing but the tank lights on just looking at my tank. My wife tells me I spend more time with my tank than I do her LOL:grinyes: Well dont tell my wife this but we have been married 4 years so the new has wore off the tank on the other hand is new to me had it about 9 months so I spend more time with it. :grinyes:
