Can a red blood parrot fish go in with a African Elephant Nose Fish? Thanks for any help!

subject to tank size, and size of the two fish, and other inhabitants, maybe

its always a bit hit and miss introducing a cichlid to anything - very hard to tell how they will react.

i already have the parrot fish but I am wanting some elephant nose...hmmmm

What size tank do you have, Elephant Nose Fish grow to 9" and require a sand substrate.

I have a 55 gallon with community fish and a parrot in there but I am wanting to get rid of the community fish.

Do you have a sand substrate? If not they will damage their nose foraging around in the gravel.

right now I have gravel. I am not gonna get sand if they will not get along with my parrot fish. Thats why I am wondering if they will get along.
