is it worth it or not? especially with a mom that hates water changes.

Worth several times its price to me. I could not possibly maintain all my tanks with buckets - I might be in better shape if I did, but that is not likely to happen. My wife takes a dim view of buckets on hardwood floors and oriental rugs.

I agree - worth every penny, and then some!

We've used ours so much that some of the 'connectors' have worn out, but they do sell replacement parts! Believe it or not - PetSmart had the part we needed.. :)

No sloshing buckets! The water goes straight to the sink.
How could that be more of a mess? And filling up a tank via bucket,
That could make a mess, With a python, straight in the tank, agian no sloshing with buckets.

Holla!

Yeah, I just bought a 50-footer and a 25-foot extension, it's great for my 45G and 60G tanks, although it doesn't perform too well on the basement 15G, (it's hard for the water to make that climb.)

Definitly worth the price, but buy online for sure. Bigalsonline.com

Yea, pythons are great. I don't know what I would do without one, well, actually, I would just use buckets and like change the water once a month. Its just so easy to use and it's not that much money. Believe me, it's worth it.

You can do what I do if it is close enough. I use the outside faucet. Plenty of pressure, no mess and it fertilizes the grass a little.

i presume u just put the dechloinator in ur tanks when filling them again, but doesn't the cold tap water drop the temperature of the tank when refilling?

My outside water isn't very cold, runs around 75 so it really isn't an issue. I add dechlorinator to the tank as I fill. On the inside water, you can regulate the temp. On the outside, you have determine what the water temp is and see if it will work.
