I just got myself a new plant for my planted 30gal cichlid tank, and I would like the basic info on the plant species Saggitaria, I should be able to propagate it through cuttings eh..?

In my experience with sagittaria subulata, it had little reproductive activity for a long time, then bang! Sent off a runner that produced 7 more of itself. The runner basically went to a side of the tank, and then just creeps along the glass, as new plants sprout from it. You can probably split the plant apart at the root structure if it is large enough, however.

Sag comes in dwarf & large forms, as said above, it propogates via runners, treat it the way you would Vals.
