walmart bare tank and stand $300'ish

I wonder if anyone has bought this setup, it suits what I want IF it comes with a sliding glass top, does anyone now anything about it and what it comes with ??

just curious because it seems to be a good deal, looks like a glass tank but they did not have the stand unpacked so if someone has a picture that would be super.

I have gotten two 55 gallon full set ups, including stand, filters, lights, heaters, plants, gravel, everything I needed to successfully set them up and run them. I got one of the tanks for free(55g tank with wooden stand,filters,lights,everything), and the other cost me $80 (55g tank, metal stand, hood, lights, filters, heaters, decor, and gravel).

So I recommend using craigslist because you can find a huge deal for $300, for $300 i could of got a 200g full set up including fish, but i only had $80 at the time.

So check craigslist, then decide if walmart is the way to go.

I live 1600 km's from the US border in small town canada, the closest craiglist stuff is in either edmonton (8 hr drive), Vancouver (16 hour drive) or Maybe.. prince George (5 hr Drive).

we have walmart, petsmart, LFS (overpriced) and a few other options.... basically I want to buy the tank and stand and then mail order everything else to save money.... for an example an AQ110 is $130 here, I can get them for $59 cdn thru web order.

however, since you really dont have much of a choice other than buying retail, i'd say that's a pretty good deal.. around here a 55gal tank is $150 and a stand is $300.. that doesn't include lights or lids or anything.. so i'd say its a reasonably good deal for retail price. the only other option that *might* be cheaper is to do it yourself.. but it would be a LOT of work/time/energy.. and its really not definitely cheaper unless you've got a friend in the hardware industry.

Try Kijiji Canada, check Edmonton, sometimes smaller towns and cities will post in the larger center to them, I have found Red Deer and Innisfail and Cranbrook B.C. listed under Calgary, perhaps you can find a closer location to you by checking Edmonton under Kijiji, I think it is better than Craigslist.

Yes,,Kijiji is a great site. Go into pets, then accesories,,,always tanks on there. I bought a 55gal at wal mart. For $400, I got the tank, filter, heater, lids, lights and the stand. Bought it about 6 montsh ago now,,no problems.
