Hi Don,
Interested in the double deal for $8...however, can you give me a deal on more plant than snails. Much appreciated...let me know what kind of a package you can give me. My zip is 10583. Thanks. Dan

Thanks for interest..pm's replied to.
Lots of questions...
I just suggested those packages to make it easier; I will ship more/less/none of one thing or another. Basically free; just making up for postage/packing/petrol/paypal.
I don't mind putting a few small snails in a first class mailer...as long as you understand the mortality rate could be higher...probly not a good idea to ship snails first class to So Cal, for instance...
No guarantees...they're free...you may have a few that don't make it. I hope not, but it happens.
What to do with 'em when you get 'em?
Snails...acclimate to room temp then put 'em in a container of dechlorinated water or tank water. The bottom half of a 2 liter bottle should be OK if you don't already have a container. They'll be a little stagnant from the trip, so give 'em a water change or two then you can put 'em in the tank the same day.
Plants...rinse and put in tank. you may want let the smaller ones float till they get bigger...or tie 'em to a rock, etc with sewing thread...the little ceramic 'prefilter' beads for a canister work great as a weight for small plants

I am interested in some of the Java Fern PM sent.
I've had an unexpected overwhelming response!
Please hold off on any further PayPal payments til Sunday nite. I should have a chance to fill the outstanding 'orders" and see what I have left!
I am interested in java fern and the other plant clippings you might have. May want about 5-7 of each type of snail- could that go in a 1st class? Location is South Bend, IN- relatively close to you in ohio.

Ok got the plants and the snails about 2 hours ago! At 4pm, thats when i got them. Everything is in very good shape!! The funny thing is that the snails layed some eggs in the bag lol. I cut the peace of plastic out that had the eggs on it and put it in the tank. The snails came right out when they hit the bottom of the tank and started eating up all the algae!! :grinyes::dance2: Im VERY pleased with everything. Thank You VERY Much!!!!

Count me in for java fern when you are ready...:)
Seems a few folks got everything OK..EXCEPT the Java ferns. They seem to have died off in shipping...rootstock probly still OK and should come back with some TLC. Will try to do better next time.

Thanks for the plants Don! We got them today, water wisteria is in good shape, moneywort isn't bad, amazon sword needs some work like you said, Java moss looks healthy, doesn't look like the java fern made it, but I'm soaking the roots anyway. THanks!
