 I am interested in the Mystery Snails. It has been a long time since we have had an aquarium and my snail have laid several clutches of eggs. 3 did not stay and dropped off. I now have 3 clutches that are doing real good. I just forgot how long it takes for them to hatch. The oldest clutch was laid on 09/02/07. Any information on the time line for these.
Thank you

Ok I thank you all. I will keep my eyes open and hope my fish don't eat them. It has been about 30 years since we have done this and I have forgotten a lot. Forgotten more then I thought I did.
Thanks again and you all have a nice day.

:headshake2: No action on my Mystery Snail eggs yet that I can see. Maybe they are too young yet to be fertile. When we got them they were no bigger then a dime.
My water line is down about 3-4 inches from the top. That should be low enough, I thought. Any suggestions as to why no action yet. Would appreciate anything.:help:

Some of my clutches hatch in 8 days and some take 2 or even 3 weeks. It all depends on the moisture and heat they get I think.

If you look at the clutch can you see tiny shells inside the eggs? As they develop you can usually see them inside the clutch. Has the clutch turned a moldy looking color yet? Just before they hatch the clutch will look kind of moldy or greyish in color. If the clutch is still whitish in color and no changes since it was laid it could be infertile. I would wait a little while longer though just to make sure.

Hope this helps.

No there is no change in the color. I do remember the gray color now that you mentioned it. The clutch was in the tank this morning. It fell off. There is still 2 to go yet.
Don't remember how much moisture they need and my tank temp is 78 degrees F. Wonder if I should take the water level down more.
