I've read a few threads and looked a few other tanks and i think I might need some more plants or at least a greater diversity.

Her are my stats

ph......6.6-6.8
kh.......4.25
po4...... .5ppm
NO3.......20ppm

200 watts of light 3 5500k bulbs and 2 6500k bulbs

However, I still get the spot and dust algae on my glass.....I read a thread below where a guy had the same problem, and it was suggested that he might have too few plants or to low of a diversity........anyone think I might have the same problem?

I still see substrate & fish... you definitely need more plants ;)

An ozelot sword might look nice behind your hornwort on the right there. Just a thought.

Beautiful tank man... looks very healthy.

What kind of rainbows are those?

Bosemani........They look nice and are some of the hardeyist fish I have ever had. Lexington had a power outage a few months ago. Well my Oscar (which was in another tank) didn't make it, but my Bosemani sure did even with 55 degree water temps.

Looks very nice and healthy!

I would let the Rotala grow taller, and maybe add some more tall stem plants the the back. Just so the background doesn't show so much. I just had an argument with my boyfriend last night when I was pruning the tank. I trimmed the Limnophila way too short, so now 3/4 of the top of the tank is almost bare. He likes it that way, but I can't wait for it to fill in.

Very nice though, I like it

It's looking good! Can I suggest a black background?? Could you take a pic or 2 with a black background? The backgound should give it a nice contrast...

I think I might have some black felt that i could put in the back.......I'll give it a try and take some pics. Thanks for the suggestion.

How often do you trim that hornwart?

I'm not really sure what the hornwart is. However, the only plant I ever trim is the rotala in the back......it just gets too tall for the tank from time to time.

Ordovician, when you get the pics with the black background, post your first pic (the one at the top), then the new pic... (the whole tank pic)..

It would be nice to see how it looks!
