've not seen Tahitian Moon Sand in person, but the close up pics I've seen look just like my sand. It's a coarse sand, not perfect for loaches and such as it's angular (feels fine to my girly soft fingers, but may not to the burrowing fish) - your call on that one. BUT cheaper than Moon Sand - I have a flat rate priority box stuffed with 26 pounds of this pretty "sparkly" sand for only $15 plus $10 shipping anywhere in the US.
I also have aquarium salt by the pound - $1/lb however many pounds you want. I can fill a flat rate PM box or do small amounts. One can never have enough of that on hand! I just had to dose a 90g tank because of a fish that died and seems to have spread around a bacterial yuck in the tank. Better safe than sorry I say...
