Need help sexing my blue rams!!!

When i bought my rams all i looked at to sex them was their bellies. So i got one without a pink belly and two that had pink bellies, but then it a site said something about dorsal fins and i checked the ones with pink bellies and they had dorsal fins of a male. What do i do?

The females, along with the very pink bellies that they will eventually get, will also have a similar dorsal spike, just not quite as long as the male. They may not be fully mature yet, and may change a bit more for you in the coming weeks. Can you post a couple of good pics? If not, research M/F pics on the net to see the differences. I've have quite a few rams over the years and sometimes that dorsal can be a little confusing if the bellies aren't showing pink yet. From my experience, The females only show bright pink bellies when they are mature enough to spawn.

can you provide a pic?

males will have pretty long dorsal fins, and they are tapered off to a point. males are also more vibrant (aside from the pink belly of the female) with more intense blues etc. during breeding.

When that young just go by the black spot on the side of the body males have an solid black spot and females have blue flaking in their spot.And like you said sometimes the pink belly but only when a lil more mature.
