I'm going to change my 10 gallon moderately planted gravel from natural to black. Should I buy Eco-Complete - $18 for 20lbs or Estes' black gravel for $14 for 20lbs. Its not going to have any difficult to maintain plants. Javafern - attached to driftwood. Amazon Sword. Java moss - attached to driftwood. Duckweed - floating. And maybe some water sprite.- maybe... Would the gravel matter? Which should I go with?

amazon swords get too big. i have one over 18 inch tall by a foot wide. others i had to get rid of been over 2 feet tall.
not going to matter with the java fern i have my water sprite growing great in just reg gravel. i would go with cheap stuff..... but if its only a few more vs the other stuff go for the eco.

For only 4 dollars more might as well get the Eco. Most plants do well in regular gravel.

I think I'm going to stick with regular gravel since I'm low on cash.

It's only four dollars difference? Go with the Eco Complete. I'm the first person to tell people not to bother with spending the extra money on supposed "plant" substrates; however colored, coated gravels always start to fade and turn an ugly light ash gray color over time. I haven't heard of Eco Complete doing that. Not to mention coated gravels are unnatural looking. So for these reasons alone, go with the "better" stuff.
