I am settnig up a 90 gallon reef with a 40 gallon sump that I plan to run with about 20-25 gallons of water in it. I was set on buying a Tunze 9010 or an ASM G-2 for a while and then stumbled across the Octopus skimmers and the great reviews.
Then I looked at the price I was shocked at how much less they were than many others so I bought one. I originally thought I would get the nw-150 but since it was less than 200 for the nw-200 I bought it. It came today and thought I knew what the specs were when I bought it... IT IS HUGE! at least compared to my super skimmer for my 40 gal. It is going to be a tight fit under my new tank.
Should I have gone with the nw-150 for my set up? Is there such a thing as too much of a skimmer?
