Okay, I'm soooo excited right now!
Last night I bought 3 more zebra danios from my LFS to add to my other 4. Last night before I fed them, I noticed that a male was wrapping himself around a big female and then lil white specks were going everywhere. Soon after the entire school of them were skimming the rocks and chowing down. This assured me that the female did lay eggs because danios are known to munch on the eggs. I fed them as soon as I could (maybe a touch more than usual ;) ) and went to sleep. This morning I looked into the tank and on the sides of the tank by the rocks there are these lil black things that kinda look like curled up fishes. I'm going to take a picture and post it for all to clarify my beliefs. I would be so excited if they did, infact, spawn because then I don't need a breeding tank for them!
My question is, though, will they eat the fry while they are still developing? If so, what should I do to protect them?
