I recently added an airstone to my flounders tank and he is riding the bubbles up to the current from the filter. He normally is hidden. Is this bad for him? Is the new current a problem? Anyone have any experience with this?

Does he specifically swim there and ride it? Or is it that he has no way of escaping from it? If you have the air stone in a location that he used to hide in, you might consider moving it to see if he's primarily attracted to the airstone or to his old hiding spot.

No he usually hides along the bottom anywhere in the tank. No place specific, just slightly under the top layer of substrate anywhere he feels comfy. I put the airstone in he suddenly came out of hiding though. He seems like hes playing in it. He has plenty of space without it and I see him hiding some still but he seems drawn to the current.

Here's a vid of him "flying"
(Please overlook the crazy music in the background, I was watching a sci fi movie lol)
