Starting a new sw tank

Hi, I have a lot of experience with fresh water fish, but my boyfriend and I are planning on purchasing a 100 gallon sw tank. We love medium sized colourful fish, but we're having a hard time deciding which fish we like the best and if they're compatible or not. Would anyone be able to give me an example of 8-10 colourful fish that would be compatible together?

Thanks for your suggestions! We're so excited about getting a tank but we want to be as patient as possible and learn everything we need to before going ahead with it. I will look up these fish.
