Been reading about this stuff and think it would be interesting to grow a tank full. Have a 55g sitting aroound not doing anything that would be perfect. Question is where to get a pure starter culture. There are tons of suppliers selling spirulina pills and powder- wonder if they can be used to get it going or does the processing kill the algae?
. As to starter cultures, I don't know. I do know that they grow Spirulina in huge open air basins with lots of circulation here in the desert.
