Welcome to the October 2007 Freshwater Photo Of The Month competition.
Voting is now open to everybody, one vote only per person.
There will be a limited 14 days voting period, followed by the selection of a winner with the highest number of votes from AquariaCentral.com . If in the instance of more than one winner is selected (same number of votes), a secondary 7 days voting would be held to determine the winner.
The winner of the previous months Freshwater POTM contest will not be eligible to enter another Freshwater Photo of the Month Contest for the next three months, to ensure fairness and opportunity for other participants to win.

I just want to appologise for the delay in the competitions being made available. I also want to appologise for any picture which may of been sent in and are not up for voting.

Is it just me, or does #4 look completely Photoshopped? You can easily see the white oulines around the Clown Loaches, especially where the tail of the bottom-most loach overlaps the Pearl Gourami.
I think it should be disqualified. It has already gotten votes, too.

yeah it does look like the loaches aren't actually supposed to be in the pic. but who knows maybe they are actually in it

I have checked the photo out in photoshop, and all is fine.

Excellent photos everyone! I had a hard time choosing, especially between 5, 10, 17, and 19. I decided on 10 though. =)

the crab in 17 has a major chip on his shoulder and it's a cool pose. but i chose the cardinal tetra in 19 because the photo quality was better. it was close.

I had a tough time choosing between four pictures which were outstanding in clarity and color! Beautiful work seen in all photos! I know how difficult it is for some of us (like me!) to get all elements of a photo to show up how we would like it to.

I love the angels also, i have one there... but i have to say that its being a great run for 5, 17 and 19...
I dont know when does this competition ends but the next hours will decide everything! :P
