I'm new to ponds, but ready to take the plunge and go for it. Problem is, I haven't run across any sites online that have any D.I.Y plans, and I am a somewhat do-it-yourself kinda guy...ie, cheap.

I have a nice size chunk of land set side for this pond. 8'x16'. Only hitch is that I can't dig too deep due to the main waterline that runs into my house goes straight thru it.

Can anyone lead me to some places that can help me figure out everything that I'm gonna need for this feat?

Any help is appreciated

I am quite suprised you cant find any DIY sites. I must have run across at least a zillion. Try a differenct search engine or vary your search parameters.

As for your water line. Just how deep is it. In any case, nothing says the pond has to be the same depth all over. That is the beauty of flexible liners.

I bought my kit from pond depot on ebay and the kit has everything you need, including a DVD that covers set up from start to finish.

most of the diy sites seem to be trying to sell you their kits etc....

The line is around 2 feet deep. I was thinking of mybe dropping the pond 6" underground and having the rest up above....I'm gonna try koi, and I know they take a bit deeper pond to do well.
