Does anyone here use the Tap Water Purifier by Aquarium Pharmaceuticals? We used to sell alot of those as a cheaper alternative to a RO system, but since we've moved the store, gotten new employees, we slacked off. I'm thinking we should go back to pushing them, especially with problem tanks/customers, marine tanks, etc. Just curious how they do for others. The tap water in our area is crappy. Thanks.

Actually RO is cheaper in the long run, and members on this board do not reccomend water modification except in extreme cases. I'm trying to breed angels, for example.
Maybe you could try to sell an educational product, classes or a seminar.

good luck

I bought one a couple of years ago, because I was sticker shy at the cost of RO. With the local water, I ended up only getting about 30 gallons out of each cartridge, so I was paying about 67 cents a gallon. I made it through three cartridges before I realized that It would end up being much cheaper to go the RO route.

As a recomendation, the kent marine bare bones systems are great for a cheaper RO solution. I love mine.
