I got a 29 gallon tank yesterday from someone on my local freecycle. It's in good condition, just needs some cleaning. It didn't come with anything though, so I need to figure out what type of filter and hood and lights and all that stuff to buy. I'm going to be keeping our two Albino Clawed Frogs and a couple of snails in it.
Anyway, how do I decide what filter is right for our needs? I know it's good to "over filter" with the frogs cuz they're dirty little buggers. But there are so many different types, it's overwhelming! I can't spend a huge amount either, I need something around the $50 mark, preferably. Is there a certain type that is better than others?
