Could anybody tell me how to anchor a peice of driftwood down in brackish aquarium (piece is to big and crazy for rocks to hold it down). I would like to try the screw and slate idea but what kind of metel wont corrode in the salt?

I do not recommend driftwood in a BW tank. It will lower the pH. Try some of those fake mangrove roots that Petsmart sells.

I use fishing wire attached to flat, drilled state undernearth it.
transparent ones are obviously best,
i try not to use any metals, even the lead strips for plants but like punky said
too big piece will lower PH and the fake mangove are fantastic !!
