opinions of whether one green spotted puffer with no tankmates vs 2 figure 8 puffers with no tankmates?
the tank is the same foot print as a 20high but alot taller.

When dealing with tall tanks, treat them the same way you would the equivalent shorter tank. The reason being that the surface area is the same. So, if you wouldn't put them in a 20H you wouldn't put them in a 30SH (Show or Super High).
On a side note, I had that very same tank that I kept my octopus in and she laid eggs which subsequently hatched out. Best experience bar none that I've had in 35 years of keeping fish.

Although the above answer is definately correct about the footpront of a tank & I usually recommend 15g for the 1st F8 & 10g for each more, I'd say you could probably keep 2 F8s in there. GSPs need more swimming room.

^thaniks, and yea thats crazy you got it to breed most people cant even keep them alive
