i know someone with a 120 gallon tank and it has lots of mushrooms. is there anyway for him to kill off the mushrooms there are to many to cut off one by one. he takes about a handful out a day and it makes no difference.

Sounds like he should start selling them. A man can make a good living selling mushrooms.
He could also probably try turning over some of his rocks.
Corals don't like to be upside down under a rock.

I have the opposite problem, mine never grow. However all my other corals are growing great. What do they look like? You could probably find people that would buy them. I know thats what happened on ReefCentral when somebody made a thread like this. Well they were sold for cost of shipping only.

YEah, I tried to get some of those purple muchrooms but the guy must have run out or something. Tell him to sell them for like 10 bucks shipped.

the thing is he has no time to sell them he was for a while. he is to busy with his business to take them all out. he has some of the purple ones and then he has some red ones, blueish ones and like 8 weird looking ones. next time i go over there i will pull some out and maybe ship some out. if he flips them over will they polute the tank?

if he just flips them over and waits for them to die, then yes chances are you'll get somewhat of a nitrate spike.

he wa doing it for 2 weeks with no impact. i was amazed when i saw his tank. they had taken over all of his corals and there were tons of mushrooms ranging from pin size to hand size. i dont know why they exploded like that.
