Hello,
I recently set up a new tank consisting of cardinal tetras- black phantoms & rummy nose tetras, 4 dwarf gouramis, a few zebra danios and a silver shark. All appeared fine for the first couple of weeks - 'the only new addition being a piece of aquarium plant which a neighbour offered me'. Within a week all my cardinals died due to ich - fortunately our treatment with ick-away, frequent watr changes and maintaining a 29 degree temperature appears to have saved all our other fish. Is it possible that the 'ich' was introduced to our tank on the piece of plant (which I had forgotton to rinse), as this plant originally lived in a 2ft tank which was home to a single oscar and consisting of poor quality water.
Thanks .. frowzer
