I'm setting up my tank. It's going to have guppies. I'm going to put CO2 in it. The DIY method. I've read all the online tutorials and a few books. I have some questions.
The lights, I don't want a lid. In my mind I have some sort of clamp on the back lights in mind. Where do I find/get something like that? The tank is in front of a window as you can see, what do I change because the sun is there?
I have a vague idea of the plants I want. The green smudge on the driftwood is some Monoselenium Tersomething-or-other (I've been calling it MSG, easier to remember) The LFS has some and I like it.
The bright green is a mystery plant.. I want something leafy, the aim is to get a burst of green coming out from behind the wood. I saw something unlabeled at petco that looked nice, it might have been some sort of sword. It was just huge leaves fernish would be a good way to say it. I don't trust petco's unlabeled plants anymore.
I'm going to add some Salvia natans as a floaty plant.
The red dots are Anubuis nana, I'm good with that.
And then the yellow dots. I'm kinda lost completely there. I want something tall thats not just leaves, but also not just long stems with leaves at the top. The filter spits out right there so I want them to be a bit sturdier if that'll make any difference.
My water is softer than soft, I've got some shells in the filter. The ph is pretty neutral, but since it's so soft it fluctuates. Whenever the tank is filled and has CO2 in it the parameters could be anything really..
To sum it up so you don't have to read all of it, I need lights, and some ideas for the bright green dot and the yellow dots.
